Sorry for the lack of access the past week. I was in a dilemma of what to do with this site.
So, the thing is… This is my blog and naturally, I write about myself and the people in my life.
But I hate the invasion of privacy I created for these loved ones (actually just one person who shall be known as A) when an almost stranger talked to A like she knew A’s life inside out, making A felt really uncomfortable, especially when A barely knew her and to me, she’s a complete stranger who happened to read this site regularly – which is fine cos I expected that, given I didn’t lock it up.
But as guilty as I feel towards A, I wish that certain stranger could just be a quiet voyeur without exhibiting her knowledge. I read blogs of strangers who intrigue me on all the time but I don’t go to his/her friends who I’m acquaintances with and tell them how much I know about them!
Ah well, I have no one to blame but myself and I guess it’s only natural that this happens when I don’t lock up my blog.
So I was in a dilemma cos this is my way of connecting with friends and family back home without the constant emails and I don’t expect everyone to go through the hassle of signing up for a wordpress account if I decide to lock my blog permanently.
But after a week of thinking, I’m wondering if I should:
1. start on some sorta self-filtering and stick to trivial stuff and if it involves grievances, I’ll just skim the surface and give no details!
or
2. lock up my blog which, of cos, will have a lot more details than ever since I know for sure who’s reading.
What you reckon pals? Something’s gotta give.

Hey babe,
Must confess I’m one of those silent voyeurs who read your blog occasionally haha! I really enjoyed reading about the places you’ve been to and admire the pictures you’ve taken of your travels. It’s really up to you to decide if you want it to be a private blog and keep it under lock and key. Just wanted to tell you that it’s a really cool blog and to keep writing and posting :)

I’ve been a fan of your blog for a while now – 3 main reasons – love the fashion (read: fab taste!), love your candour and down-to-earth(ness), and lastly your little nephew and niece! they remind me so much of my little niece :D
Whatever your decision, I wish you the very best! Take care, and keep the positivity!
on a fashion note, my sis who’s residing in the netherlands queued up for jimmychoo for h&m, but left with nothing! oh the horror!

Oh yes! The Jimmy Choo for H&M collection was sold out within a weekend in HK. But your poor sis!
And thanks Clare, for all your encouraging comments!

Hi Babe,
Am another of the silent voyeur; have been reading your blog way back when it was in LJ. anyway, i have a blog of my own too and there have been times when i faced the kind that u came across. so now, i save the personal and intimate aspects of my life in my own diary and blog about the rest.
Whether you decide to lock up your blog or keep it open, it’s your own decision and I wish you all the best :) What’s more important is to be happy always cos life’s too short for unhappiness.
Cheers

Yes, completely! Life is too short for unhappiness (and bad food) indeed. :)
